Your first Verdict review
- Sign in with GitHub. Use the account that owns or installs the app for your repositories.
- Install the GitHub App. Open the installation guide in the dashboard and choose your account and repositories. Organization approval may be required. Refresh installations after approval.
- Activate a plan in Billing. Starter is $4/month; Pro is $30/month per installation. Wait for confirmed payment and an active plan; returning from checkout alone does not activate reviews.
- Enable your repository. Open Repositories in the dashboard and turn automatic reviews on for the repositories you want reviewed.
- Open a pull request. Open or update a non-draft PR with no more than 8,000 changed lines. Read the GitHub Check and PR comment; history and usage are in the dashboard.
Run a review yourself
Comment /verdict by itself on an open PR. By default, GitHub maintain or admin permission is required. The repository’s manual-review setting can also allow collaborators with write permission. An authorized command works even when automatic reviews are disabled, including on an open draft. Wait for the accepted-request reply before expecting a result.
Usage and billing
Usage counts additions plus deletions, with no minimum deduction. Updates normally count changes since the last posted review; unavailable comparisons fall back to the full PR. Failed or skipped work is refunded. When the allowance is exhausted, wait for the billing-period reset or upgrade.
Use Billing → Invoices & cancellation for invoices or cancellation. Uninstalling the app does not cancel billing. An upgrade charges the full new monthly price; the old plan stays active until verified payment succeeds. No unused-time refund or credit is offered.
If a review is missing
Confirm the correct GitHub account, app approval, active plan, selected repository, enabled automatic reviews, PR size, and remaining quota. Check the PR Check for a failure or skipped reason. Send your installation ID and PR link to [email protected]; do not send credentials or private code.
